Biothane® Advanced UASB

High-load, compact anaerobic granulation process

The Biothane® Advanced UASB reactor is the best choice for applications with COD (chemical oxygen demand) loads between 8 and 14 kg COD/m3/day. The Biothane® Advanced UASB is ideal for locations with height restrictions or where a rectangular concrete configuration is preferred due to local conditions.

A patented internal separator is a key component of both Biobed® Advanced EGSB and Biothane® Advanced UASB reactors. The design of the separator allows efficient separation of the biogas produced from the effluent while returning the granular biomass back to the reactor.

The innovative design of the separators can also be implemented in existing reactors, either round or square shaped with a height of up to 20 metres.
