Requirements for suppliers of MEMSEP

We consider Health Protection of the company employees as the main area of our social responsibility, as well as the responsibility to minimize the negative impacts of our business activities on the Environment. We make great effort to continuously improve the Quality of our products and services.

Health and Safety Policies

WS MEMSEP has set its health and safety policies (H&S) that are in accordance with the guidelines of parent company SADE. Company management understands the responsibility regarding health and safety of company’s employees and the persons appointed to work on behalf of the company, and considers hygienic and environmental conditions at work one of the main priorities in the business activities of the company.

To create the best possible conditions for health and safety at work, the company is committed to do the following:

  • Provide health and safety conditions at work as an integral part of occupational tasks and as a part of employee care;
  • Constantly improve the management and performance of the organization in the area of H&S;
  • Integrate and coordinate safety aspects in all decision spheres and executive activities as a part of each employee’s responsibility in accordance with the conditions of employment and organizational rules;
  • Prevent, control and reduce health risks related with work for the company;
  • Implement and continuously develop preventive measures in given operating conditions;
  • Create an up to date system of internal guidelines, in accordance with the current law, specifying competencies, rights and obligations of subjects and their interdependencies, to ensure the health and safety in their work environment;
  • Provide continuous and qualified search for health and safety hazards, evaluation and minimization of risks, and providing up to date information to employees and stakeholders;
  • Ensure and provide the resources necessary for the fulfilment of this Policy and H&S objectives;
  • Continue promotion and motivation of all employees to increase the responsibility for their health, safety and the company’s property;
  • Include all stakeholders in health and safety system at work;
  • Systematically document, assess, monitor and evaluate the status, results and safety management system at the workplace, provide immediate correction of identified deficiencies. Promote education, seminars and training to assure the staff competence in dealing with needed requirements;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the process of raising the level of health and safety awareness and prevention of incidents at work through consistent use of internal and external communication channels, promoting and sharing of experience among these parties.

Minimum Responsibilities of Suppliers in Accordance with H&S and Fire Safety (FS)

Suppliers of VWS MEMSEP are obliged to:

  • Identify a person responsible for the compliance with legislation in the fields of H&S and FS;
  • Comply with all statutory requirements, regulations, ordinances and statutory rules regarding H&S and FP that are valid in time and place as to supply of an order for VWS MEMSEP;
  • Provide consistent education to all stakeholders in the fields of H&S and FP, ensure proper allocation of adequate resources to minimize safety risks at work;
  • Set up and apply actions for identifying and resolving any disagreements with legal requirements of H&S and FP. 

Environmental Policies

VWS MEMSEP has set its Environmental Policies in accordance with the strategies of parent company SADE. It is ensured that all employees are familiar with this policy, which is communicated to all persons working for the company or on its behalf.  The policies are available for public to view at the company’s seat office or on the company website.

The Environmental Policy includes the following commitments:

  • Continuously improve the environmental profile;
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with all applicable statutory requirements (laws, regulations, ordinances, etc.) regarding the protection of the environment, and monitor that they are followed through;
  • Prevent, control and reduce environmental impact in all parts of the environment;
  • Offer customers the best technology available, technical and material solutions that lead to the minimization of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere;
  • Manage renewable and non-renewable natural resources effectively;
  • Maintain and improve EMS – certified system of environmental management, in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005, and take the necessary measures to enforce the up to date environmental policy;
  • Raise the awareness of all employees in the matters of the environment and its protection with regards to their specific activities;
  • Demand that the suppliers respect the principles of environmental policies and support their responsible activities towards the environment;
  • Sufficiently communicate with all stakeholders regarding environmental protection.

Minimum Obligations of Suppliers in Terms of the Environment

Suppliers for VWS MEMSEP are obliged to:

  • Appoint a person responsible for compliance with all applicable statutory requirements in the area of environmental protection;
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with all applicable statutory requirements (laws, regulations, orders, etc.) in regards to the protection of the environment, and monitor they are followed through;
  • Constantly develop strategies to minimize the amount of waste produced while working for the company and provide appropriate waste treatment or disposal in accordance with up to date legislation;
  • Develop a registry of environmental aspects and emergency plans for activities carried out while working for VWS MEMSEP, and ensure overall competence in case of emergency during the course of your activities.

Quality Assurance Policies

VWS MEMSEP has set its Environmental Policies in accordance with the strategies of parent company SADE, which is a part of global group Veolia. It is ensured that all employees are familiar with this policy, which is communicated to all persons working for the company or on its behalf.  The policies are available for public to view at the company’s seat office or on the company website.

The purpose of this policy is to establish obligations whose fulfilment will lead to improvement of the quality of the company’s products and to increase customer satisfaction.

The Quality Assurance Policy includes the following commitments:

  • Continuous improvement of quality control management in order to improve the company’s efficiency and subsequently, as a means of ensuring the company’s leading position in the fields of water treatment, wastewater management and technological solutions.
  • Increase the level of customer service.
  • Increase labour productivity by better task management.
  • Emphasize on finding the roots of problems and disagreements, search for their resolution and implement preventive measures.
  • Increase employee development and skills.
  • Build team environment.
  • Motivate employees towards providing the best quality work possible.
  • Increase the level of cooperation with major suppliers to ensure the highest quality of products delivered, conclude long-term contracts that are mutually beneficial.
  • Improve the image of the company.
  • Consistently apply up to date environmental regulations with an emphasis on individual approach to improve the protection of the environment in excess of the required legislation.
  • Monitor developments in the field and use the knowledge for optimization of processes within the organization.

Minimum Obligations of Suppliers in Terms of Quality Assurance

VWS MEMSEP suppliers are obliged to:

  • Appoint a person responsible for the quality of deliveries.
  • Comply with all up to date legal requirements related to quality parameters of the delivered goods.
  • Supply the objects of delivery in the quality defined in a contract.
  • Define and use procedures to specify supply target quality indicators, to measure the quality of supply and eliminate any discrepancies and shortcomings.

All reviews of the Intregrated Management System are available at the Management Representative for IMS, at the headquarters of the company.
